Harcum College prides itself in providing students with many opportunities and options from which to choose. Every Harcum program holds minimum requirements that must be met for acceptance. Should a student not meet the minimum requirements for a particular program, its certainly not the end of the road.
There are three different types of Admission:
Alternative
An acceptance with alternatives to Harcum College means a student was close to but did not meet the minimum academic requirements for their program of interest.
Several programs at Harcum offer options for students to build their academic skills and then transition into their intended program. Please note this may add an additional semester or year to a students study. Some programs also require that a student reapply for admittance into the program.
Meeting with an academic advisor or admissions counselor is strongly recommended to ensure all required steps are taken appropriately.
Conditional
Applicants who fail to meet full admission requirements, but show potential for academic success at the college level, may be admitted on a conditional basis.
These applicants are strongly urged to enroll in the Summer Bridge Program. The Summer Bridge Program at Harcum is a six-week residential program for select first-time freshmen students to experience Harcum College life prior to entering the fall semester.
