Designed for current and future program directors, Harcum is offering the opportunity to earn the Pennsylvania Director Credential. Courses: The program consists of three courses (3 credits each) covering the following topics: Organization and Administration, Professionalism and Leadership, and Business Practices. Is it for you? The program is designed for the Early Child Care professional with a two-year degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, or a related field. Easy to reach: Harcum College is an independent, two-year college located in Bryn Mawr, adjacent to the SEPTA R-5 Paoli Local station. Courses are also offered off-site and online. Fits your schedule: The course is being offered as a hybrid course . Beginning with the 2010 summer session in May 2010, face to face classes will be held every other Saturday. The weeks that the student is not meeting face to face will be time for online and independent work. The curriculum consists of the following three courses, which can be taken in a sequence convenient to students: SUMMER SEMESTER 2010: EDU 303 Business Practices for Early Childhood Education
FALL SEMESTER 2010:
EDU 301 Organization and Administration of Early Childhood Programs
SPRING SEMESTER 2011: EDU 302 Professionalism and Leadership
At the completion of the coursework, candidates submit their transcripts to the PA Department of Education to receive the Pennsylvania Director Credential. Transferability: Harcum accepts Director Credential coursework from other qualified institutions. Tuition costs – call ECE. The cost may be offset through the Pennsylvania Voucher Program, Keystone Stars Incentive Program or by applying for a TEACH Director’s Credential scholarship here:
