Basic Life Support CPR for the Community and Workplace ​- OPEN TO THE PUBLIC​

Cardiac Care & Safety, Inc. has been providing CPR/AED, First Aid, OSHA, Medical Emergencies, and an assortment of other safety training for almost 20 years. The certification is through the American Safety & Health Institute (ASHI) and is valid for two years. The course will cover how to recognize and respond to various medical emergencies such as, Sudden Cardiac Arrest, choking, bleeding, shock, asthma, anaphylaxis, seizures, and more. This course will cover the Adult, Child, and Infant refresher CPR including the AED.

​(fulfills Physical Therapy Assistant and other professionals' State requirement)

This class fulfills the new 4 hour CE regulation (above) required for all Physical Therapy Assistants for license renewal due 12/31/1​6​. The intent of this regulation is to see that a PTA can recognize an emergent situation and get help as soon as possible.

As stated by the State Board of Physical Therapy (40.192): All PTA's must complete at least 30 continuing education contact hours within each biennial renewal period. At least four hours must be related to identifying and responding to emergency health conditions and at least two hours must be in law or ethics applicable to the practice of physical therapy.

If CPR has been taken at place of employment, this should satisfy the requirement as long as it is four hours in length. All other questions related to this regulation should be directed to:
