Make a gift to a Harcum College Scholarship or Financial Aid

Support through scholarships and the Harcum Grant financial aid program ensure that a Harcum education is accessible to those with the ability and drive to succeed. Donations to scholarships and financial aid help deserving students realize their academic and career potential.

Following are the list of named scholarships, which include endowed funds and awards that are funded annually by outside organizations.
AICUP Good Citizen Scholarship: The Good Citizen Scholarship is made possible by two endowments established by the Association of Independent Colleges and Universities of Pennsylvania.  These scholarships are reserved for students who have shown extraordinary commitment to community service and who have demonstrated creativity in sharing their volunteer activities.
Kimberly S. Cullen Memorial Scholarship: This endowed scholarship fund supports a full-time, first-year Harcum student and one full-time, returning student in Veterinary Technology who has a GPA of 3.0 or higher.  The first year Harcum student must be able to demonstrate evidence of dedication to the profession through prior experience, community involvement, or volunteer work. The returning Harcum student must have maintained active membership in OATS (Organization of Animal Technician Students)and must also demonstrate an interest in large animal surgery. These awards are given in memory of Kimberly S. Cullen, class of 1979, an animal health technician at the New Bolton Center.
Genesis Scholars Program:  Several scholarships to students in the Occupational Assistant Therapy and Physical Therapist Assisting programs are provided through annual support from Genesis Rehab Services (GRS).  GRS is a nationally recognized leader in physical therapy, occupational therapy and speech-language pathology services for older adults.  GRS touches the lives of patients in skilled nursing and assisted living facilities, outpatient clinics and hospital settings.  By establishing this scholarship, GRS hopes to encourage students to consider a career working with older adults.
Jean S. Levitties Scholarship: This endowed scholarship is in memory of Jean S. Levitties who headed Harcum’s social work program in the 1970s and 80s [check – 90s?].  Established by her husband Marvin Levitties, former Retail Merchandising Program Director and current College Trustee, the Jean S. Levitties Scholarship supports outstanding second year students in the Health Sciences.

Marlo Scholarships: This endowed fund provides scholarships to full-time students, with special consideration given to applicants pursuing degrees in the health sciences.  Applicants must possess a minimum GPA of 3.0 and be actively involved in community service or a professional extra-curricular activity.  These scholarships are given in memory of Kevin Marlo, who died in the attacks of September 11, 2001.  Kevin is the brother of Christine Marlo, class of 2000.  The Kevin D. Marlo Scholarship fund was established by the Marlo family and friends, and is added to annually by the proceeds from the Kevin D. Marlo Golf Classic, as well as other gifts.
