Welcome Back, Students!
Approximately 200 students returned to the residence halls on the Bryn Mawr Campus of Harcum College on On Friday, August 22 and Saturday, August 23. Classes started bright and early at 8:30 a.m. on Monday, August 25. Total enrollment for this academic year is roughly 1,700 students. To date, 635 of these students are enrolled at one of Harcum’s 12 off-site locations across a five-county area.
Dr. Denise Beauchamp, Executive Director of Continuing Studies and Partnership Sites commented, “Each year we look for ways to enhance our student's experience at Harcum. This fall we will be offering two new programs at the sites: tutoring and online career services. The students are already very excited about these two new additions.”
The first week of the school year is programmed as “Welcome Week.” The Campus Life office works non-stop to engage students and employees in a plethora of activities, ranging from a movie screening on the lawn to an evening of frisbees and funnel cake. The week concludes with an all-campus picnic for lunch on Thursday. To view a complete list of activities for the Fall semester visit harcum.edu/campusevents.
The 2014-15 academic year is a milestone in Harcum history. In 2015 Harcum will celebrate 100 years of education on the Main Line. This is also the 10th anniversary of Harcum’s Partnership Sites. This year’s class of new and returning students are in for many surprises and special events throughout the year.
